Corps Ballet Ensemble

Long before a dancer becomes a soloist or a principle they must first learn to work as a member of a cohesive ensemble; this task falls upon the members who make up the corps de ballet.

ABOUT CORPS

CORPS, the Performing Arts Center of Connecticut�s Youth Ballet Ensemble embodies the essence of what is means to be a member of a corps de ballet. As an ensemble, dancers within CORPS will work to strengthen their technique, comprehend and execute the concepts and cannons of classical ballet, acquire an understanding of dance history, and have the opportunity to learn, rehearse, and perform specific pieces of choreography created upon them as an ensemble.

AUDITIONS FOR CORPS
BALLET ENSEMBLE 2012

Date: Saturday, June 9th, 2012

Ballet Levels 1A - 3 (call for more info)
Audition Fee: $5.00

For those dancers unable to attend that audition an alternative audition will be scheduled. All attempts should be made to attend the audition On Saturday, June 9, 2012.

Requirements: Dancers interested in becoming a member of CORPS for the 2012-2013 dance year must be between the technique levels of 1A - 3 for that academic year and be enrolled within at least 2 dance classes at PACC. Dancer should be between 7-12 years of age. The ensemble will have no fewer than 10 dancers and no more than 20. CORPS members will meet bi-monthly for two hours every other Saturday from 3:30-5:30 pm.
